Hey Chris,
I gave up trying to download Clinton after 3 attempts and at least 2 hours. I find you to be much more interesting than Bill. We are very touched by your story and most enjoyed seeing photos of your daughter and partner heralding your freedom. I would be incredibly interested to hear some of your deeper musings on the state of things, your insights re. the Government etc…your impressions etc. Your perspective is very valuable. It was spellbinding watching Timothy Hutton channel your conscience and relay these insights and facts, your innocence, these few words expressing a good young man’s reaction to the dirty dealings of the US and handily exposing what so many bury their heads in. I know the “MAN” ( the BAD man in my oppinion) sat on you long and hard, but so many of us really love you deep in our hearts, though of course you are only a legend to us. I encourage you to Tell the Truth, your real thing smart guy wisdoms, because the freedom fighters among us need this kinda food. I hate what happened to you, it made me sick. My father was an Air Force fighter pilot and the last guy to beat James Dean in a road race before the fiery crash that killed him. My father didn’t have a much better effect on all of us. The right stuff indeed, for the obliteration of our species.
My partner and I have an old friend who knew you on the coast near the town of Moclips, Wa. while you were on the lamb in the 1980’s. She apparently had a go with your accomplice, buddy, fellow escapee, whatever…her name is June krowlikowski, she is a very funny, baawdy artist who ended up going on a peace sailboat and blockading nuclear sub bearing ships that were coming in from the US with peaceful and hilarious performance art and media events. Don’t know if you recall her, surely you had other things on your mind, So we knew your story since then and watched the 60 minutes interview out there in that town way back then. It seems for all our “national security(sic)” the downward grade since then has been horrifying.
But I just watched the movie (F and SM) for the first time and i feel obsessed by it. Nationalism and all. You are surely one of the true martyrs of our time and your idealism was beautiful. Really glad for your gorgeous daughter and wife. You must believe in life in America again, somehow. Or just life, anyway. Congratulations. Ever, Holly and Stan
